A decade-long love story unfolded on 11 th June 2025 at the stunning South Farm in

the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside.

Annie and George met at university and the personal vows they shared that day

offered a candid glimpse into just how deep their connection goes.

But getting hitched is often not without a hitch… And for this wonderful couple, their

big day nearly went off without a photographer to capture their magical moments.

I am passionate about showing up for my couples, come hell or high water! Disaster

struck though, as I found myself in a car accident the day before the wedding.

Thankfully, I wasn’t hurt, my car wasn’t damaged and (most importantly) my cameras

were still intact! But I didn’t know how I’d be the next day for the drive up and full

day’s shoot.

I wasn’t going to let Annie and George down. I frantically contacted my network to

secure a stand-in. Someone with a similar photographic style, where I can work my

editing magic on the final shots. Plan in place, I nervously contacted Annie’s Maid of

Honor. She was so kind and understanding, but it was an awful call to make at the

11th hour!

Luckily, I felt well enough to make the 120-mile journey to the venue the next day

and with a later start to the day’s nuptials, I didn’t need to start shooting until midday,

giving me ample time to prepare.

The day went off without hitch!

We began with some pre-ceremony shots of the Annie, her bridesman and maids,

then with George and his groomsmen. The vivid coral and pink colours of the

dresses, corsages and bouquets popped against the backdrop of South Farm – just

stunning!

Annie made her way down the aisle to her husband-to-be, who was overcome with

emotion as he waited nervously for her under the gazebo on the lake’s island. As

guests looked on from the shore, I captured the tears, the vows, the smiles and an

explosion of confetti!

Couple, family and guests’ shots next along with some cameo appearances from the

farmyard residents: a menagerie of micropigs and a rather majestic rooster! Soooo

cute!

Annie and George celebrated with a Prosecco pour (over a cake cut – a trend I’m

seeing more of this year), followed by food, speeches, and a camp-fire-vibe guitar

serenade by one of the groomsmen. The day was filled with beautifully poignant and

personalised moments such as this – and I was so happy (and relieved!) not to miss

out on Annie and George’s stunning countryside Cambridgeshire wedding!

All the love x
