REAL WEDDING: Hannah & Keiran

There’s something magical about the Summer Solstice. Heralding the height of summer, this celestial event symbolizes luck, light and love.
And so, the perfect day on which to capture the union of Hannah & Keiron.
Not only the longest day of the year, but also the hottest to date, I reached the couple’s home that morning to meet Hannah and her bridesmaids for the sweetest bride prep shoot. Curlers set, the MUA expertly applied the girls’ make up (the vision: glow with joy, not sweat!)
Hannah & Keiran opted for Photography only, so I took the chance to snap a few shots around their apartment to capture the little moments and mementos of the life they had shared together so far.
An unexpected upgrade
A last-minute hitch with the wedding cars meant Hannah was whisked to the church not in her original choice of Mercedes, but in an exquisite Rolls Royce – thanks to a little twist of Summer Solstice serendipity!
We arrived at St Botolph’s church, where their parents had married years before. Later, we recreated one of their original photographs, with Hannah and Keiran looking back into the church!
Reverend Alison welcomed the couple and congregation and led the ceremony in the most endearing way – touching on the five love languages and how she and her husband (who, poignantly, was also present) hadn’t argued since learning about them!
The newlyweds emerged from the church under a rainbow of bubbles and made their way to the reception at Canons Brooke Golf Club. We snapped some family fun and couple photos before sitting down to lunch, speeches, a no-cutting cake cut and all the dancing!
Magical moments from the day
👰♀️ The Dad reveal! Hannah’s Dad on seeing her for the first time – beaming with pride!
⚽️ The couple’s families, both big football fans who support rival London teams, had organised a shirt swap (one West Ham, one Spurs) with the couple’s new married name on them! Such a sweet touch!
🌅 The stunning Solstice sunset shoot around the estate – just dreamy!
🍰 Unexpectedly, the Golf Club had no knife with which to cut the cake – so the couple skipped this part and headed straight to the dance floor!
I felt honoured to capture Hannah and Keiran’s day and wish you both a lifetime of love, luck and happiness!
